The Dictionary of Radical Alternatives, a project of the Global Tapestry of Alternatives (GTA), directly challenges this claim. It is a living, collaborative platform that documents centuries-old radical alternatives to capitalism, drawing from struggles, territories, and everyday practices across the world. 

More than a reference tool, it is a political intervention that confronts the crisis of meaning and imagination by reclaiming words, recovering suppressed knowledge, and demonstrating that multiple ways of understanding the world can coexist, resonate, and boldly challenge the monologue of dominant development thinking.
