At the heart of our contribution is Common, which we’re developing to serve as the digital backbone for economic democracy.

Common is a digital platform that connects people, organizations, and resources to coordinate and grow economic democracy to global scale. Designed through years of deep collaboration and experimentation with visionary communities, Common addresses real unmet needs—enabling communities to attract resources and decide together how to use them based on shared values. Through Common, organizers, entrepreneurs, funders, and members of any community can create new forms of cooperation that aren’t possible in the current system.

We’re starting by supporting existing community-led organizations and participatory funds worldwide. As Common grows, it will enable more forms of economic cooperation, helping us transition from experiments to an interconnected alternative system to the current economy.

We’re not just building technology. We’re transforming how resources flow by putting power directly in the hands of communities building economic democracy.

Our Horizon Fund, hosted on the Common platform, demonstrates this shift in real time. Economic democracy groups receive resources to pursue what they know works: experimenting with new organizational structures, strengthening digital security, building shared infrastructure. Named for our commitment to building the future while navigating present challenges, the Horizon Fund lets field leaders innovate and scale without gatekeepers.
