Designer, Communications

Remote Work Full-time

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced design and communications professional to make our work come alive in multiple formats. Working closely with our Communications and Strategy Lead, as well as multiple groups within the organization, the Designer will create visually rich expressions of our core ideas and collaborations. Are you purpose-driven, collaborative, and committed to playing an active role in building a positive future? Are you a strong visual thinker who knows how to distill complex ideas and bring them to life? The ideal candidate will be adept at translating ideas into sharp, sharable diagrams, decks, and documents. This is a unique opportunity to nurture your creative skill and strategic thinking in a new role on our growing team.

Who We Are:

One Project is a non-profit initiative with a bold mission to address the root causes of global crises. We are guided by the belief that the dominant economic and political models are incapable of delivering a sustainable, desirable future. So we are partnering with communities around the world to design, implement, and scale new systems that are radically more equitable, ecological, and effective. We are committed to building the field and supporting the broad landscape of aligned projects. We don’t just believe that another world is possible. We are working in deep collaboration and with appropriate urgency to build it.

While our core team has rich experience in a range of disciplines — social entrepreneurship, software development, narrative development, participatory design, social change movements, and community partnerships — we are seeking to expand our capabilities by assembling an exceptional team of full-time staff as well as consultants and advisors from diverse disciplines across the globe.

Founded by Justin Rosenstein, whose collaboration tools have already changed the way billions of people coordinate and work, our team leverages the best elements of a Silicon Valley mindset combined with a values-driven, multi-perspectival, self-reflective ethic. We are bold enough to work on the biggest problems but humble enough to know we must proceed with care, in deep partnership with those we aim to serve.

We are looking for thoughtful, original, and courageous thinkers and doers who share our conviction that the time is now to develop new social systems that leverage and cultivate the wisdom of humanity, fulfill the promise of democracy, and create a fairer, more abundant future.
