Org Overview
Hi.
One Project (OP) is a non-profit initiative working globally with communities to design, implement, and scale new forms of governance and economics that are equitable, ecological, and effective. Several of our current capacities include:
Grantmaking and Investment
OP allocates resources to partners and communities working to put new economics and governance concepts into practice. We are actively exploring co-funding relationships for our grantmaking and investment portfolio as well as pooled funding opportunities. In addition to our annual grantmaking, we are developing a shared funding vehicle focused on institutional capacity building and key infrastructure for new economics and governance. OP can make a $5 million contribution and we are looking for co-funders with similar capacity.
Narrative, Media, and Editorial
OP believes paradigm change requires significantly more capacity in narrative and storytelling for new economics and governance. Our ongoing projects include:
- The New Possible: Visions of Our World Beyond Crisis: An anthology compiling visions of a post-neoliberal world from leading activists, scholars, and movement builders.
- The Social Dilemma: A Netflix documentary examining the problems with Big Tech and the attention economy viewed by over 100,000,000 people.
Research
Our research team co-creates a knowledge base that features visions of a desirable future, a design library of characteristics and challenges of economics and governance systems, our worldview foundations, and critical analyses of dominant change-making paradigms. Several of our initial inquiries include: Economics and Governance Systems, Worldviews Landscaping, Sensemaking and Epistemology, and Values and Praxis.
